Week of May 8th - 12th
Spelling: Spelling: Use the Tic Tac Toe Menu
Choose 1 activity from the Fourth Quarter Spelling Tic Tac Toe Menu on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday, take a practice test with an adult and have the adult initial the top of the Spelling Menu next to week 6.
This week's spelling words focus on adding -ed and -ing to base words as well as some common sight words:
music, paper, open, table, begin, even, people, only, sorry, most, everyone, & loved

Math: Please do not tear out the math practice pages. Your child should turn in his/her practice book on Friday mornings to be checked.
Monday - Complete Chapter 19 classwork pages and homework pages; go over the math review you completed in class today with someone at home. You can also make up your own practice problems to prepare for tomorrow's test.
Tuesday - 20.1 & 20.2
Wednesday - 20.3
Thursday - 20.4
Friday - No Homework
We will complete Chapter 20 next week and test on Tuesday. We will be reviewing on Wednesday and taking a Unit test on Thursday. Our end of the year math test is on Friday.
Reading: Please read to, read with, or listen to your child read for at least 20 minutes each night. Place an X on the Chipotle Reading Log for every 20 minutes that you spend reading.

Sight words: Study the red list 1 words. Once you have mastered this list, move on to the yellow list 2, orange list 3, and green list 4. If you have mastered all of these lists, turn the page over to study the blue list 1, purple list 2, brown list 3, and black list 4. Use the Creative Ways to Practice Sight Words reference sheet.
